Dr. Marcel Moukarzel, PhD

Dr. Marcel Moukarzel, PhD is one of Lebanon's rare clinician-academics — a practicing physiotherapist with 25 years of hands-on clinical experience, a doctorate in Sports Sciences from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in France, and an active academic role as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at USEK. His approach bridges research and practice: every treatment protocol is grounded in clinical evidence and adapted to the individual. From athletes who thought their careers were over, to patients told they'd need surgery, to new mothers rebuilding their bodies — he listens deeply, diagnoses precisely, and treats relentlessly. Althea Clinic exists because too many people in Lebanon accept pain as permanent. It isn't.
